Unless the individual listing states otherwise.

CUSTOMER POLICIES
Clear terms.
No hidden facets.
The House of Corundum is an owner-operated gemstone business in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in natural untreated sapphire and ruby. These policies explain purchases, custom work, returns, shipping and how customer information is handled.
Contact us before returning an eligible item.
Work begins only after scope, risk, price and timing are agreed.
01 / TERMS OF SERVICE
Using the site and placing an order.
By using this website or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms and any product-specific terms shown before payment. You must be able to enter a legally binding agreement and provide accurate billing, delivery and contact information. These terms are governed by Nevada law, without limiting consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Product availability, prices and descriptions may change before an order is accepted. An automated confirmation acknowledges receipt; acceptance occurs when payment is confirmed and the order is approved for fulfillment. We may cancel and refund an order for a pricing or listing error, suspected fraud, unavailable inventory or an address we cannot safely serve.
Site text, photographs, videos, faceting designs created by us, branding and other original material belong to The House of Corundum or their respective rights holders. They may not be copied, resold or used commercially without permission. You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or submit unlawful or harmful material.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided as available and indirect, incidental or consequential damages are excluded. Any direct liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
02 / GEMSTONE DISCLOSURES
Natural material, described stone by stone.
Every sale listing controls. Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, gemstones offered by The House of Corundum are represented as natural corundum and untreated. Any known or reasonably suspected treatment, laboratory-grown origin, composite material, filling, coating or other material fact will be disclosed before purchase.
Color appearance varies with lighting, display calibration and viewing angle. Photographs and videos are intended to represent the actual stone but are not a substitute for the measurements, weight, written description and treatment disclosures in its listing. Natural inclusions, color zoning and minor surface characteristics are not automatically defects.
An independent laboratory report is not an appraisal or a guarantee of market value. Where a report is included, its findings and report number form part of the listing. Opinions about origin, color trade names and treatment can differ between qualified laboratories.
Loose gemstones should be examined by a qualified jeweler before setting. The House of Corundum is not responsible for damage caused after delivery by setting, removal, impact, thermal shock, ultrasonic or steam cleaning, chemicals, treatment, recutting or improper care.
03 / SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Documented from our hands to yours.
Ready-to-ship gemstones and uncut rough are scheduled for dispatch within three business days unless the listing states otherwise. Custom-cut orders are scheduled to ship within four to six weeks after payment and final design approval. Laboratory requests add laboratory and insured-transit time disclosed before payment.
Valuable orders ship with tracking and appropriate insurance; signature confirmation may be required. Carrier estimates begin after dispatch and do not include processing time. Risk of loss remains with us until confirmed delivery, subject to the carrier’s investigation and the customer’s reasonable cooperation with a claim.
At launch, delivery is limited to the 50 United States and District of Columbia. International, U.S.-territory and military-postal shipments are not accepted. If we cannot ship within the promised window, we will request consent to a revised date or issue a full refund to the original payment method.
04 / RETURNS & REFUNDS
A seven-day inspection period.
For an eligible ready-to-ship finished gemstone, jewelry item, book or uncut rough stone, email support@houseofcorundum.com within seven calendar days after confirmed delivery. Wait for return instructions, then ship the exact item in its original, unaltered condition with its packaging and included documents. Use tracking, adequate insurance and protective packaging. Returns sent without authorization may be delayed or refused where permitted by law.
The customer pays return shipping and original shipping is not refundable for a change-of-mind return. After inspection, an eligible refund is issued to the original payment method. Payment-provider posting time is outside our control. If an item arrives damaged, incorrect or materially different from its listing, notify us promptly with the order number and clear photographs; we will provide an appropriate replacement, return label or refund.
Final-sale items include custom-cut or engraved pieces, altered or set gemstones, completed cutting or repair labor, personalized media, incurred laboratory fees, downloadable products and rough that has been cut, ground, polished, tested destructively or treated after delivery. This exclusion does not apply to our error, a material misdescription or rights that cannot legally be waived.
05 / CUSTOM CUTTING & SERVICES
Reviewed first. Approved in writing.
A custom request does not reserve a stone or collect payment. We first review the material, requested design, risks, estimated yield, price, timing and queue capacity. If approved, the customer receives a written scope and payment request. The stone is reserved and the order enters the queue only after successful payment and final design approval. No more than ten paid custom-cutting orders are active at one time.
Natural rough can reveal inclusions, fractures, stress, color zoning or yield limitations during cutting. Finished dimensions, weight, color placement and optical appearance are estimates, not guarantees. If a material change affects the approved direction, work pauses when reasonably possible and the customer is contacted before proceeding.
A custom order may be canceled for a full refund before cutting, engraving, report submission or other personalized work begins. After work begins, the rough, completed labor and incurred third-party fees are non-returnable except where required by law or materially different from the approved description. Customer-owned material is accepted only under a separate written scope addressing its condition and risk.
06 / PAYMENTS, TAX & RECORDS
A documented transaction.
Live checkout will use Stripe. Stripe processes card details; The House of Corundum does not store full payment-card numbers. Prices, optional services, delivery charges and applicable taxes are shown before payment. One-of-one inventory is removed from sale or reserved after successful payment; failed or expired checkout sessions do not complete an order.
Sales tax is calculated from the verified delivery address and collected where legally required. Order records may include the listing, selected services, approvals, payment confirmation, communications, shipment details and delivery confirmation.
07 / PRIVACY POLICY

We may collect identifiers and contact details, delivery and billing information, order history, availability-notification requests, communications, custom-work instructions, fraud-prevention signals and basic website/device data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and cookie identifiers.
